Michigan - Down Memory Lane - Caro

On Thursday we drove across the state to Caro.  Howard was born in Caro and our kids have lots of memories of playing in the barn and visiting Grandma and Grandpa Graubner.
This is the house Howard grew up in, as well as his mother.  We went up and knocked on the door, but no one was there.  The barn has fallen down now.
Caro was also the place we lived when we had our first two children, Laurie and Larry.  We took  picture of the apartment building that we brought Laurie home to.

We also visited the cemetery that Howard's folks and  grand parents are buried.  We cleaned off the stone while we were there.

Before we left that side of Michigan we went to Frankenmuth.  It is a Bavarian settlement.  We went to Zender's to have a chicken dinner.  It is so good.  I think I've only been there once before. They serve it family style and you can have all you want to eat!  Abigail slept through the whole dinner.
